Oh good, Lord Mandelson doesn’t think that the impending “legislate and enforce” policy, due to hit us UK internet users in 2011, will result in lots of people being cut off from the net.
Clearly threatening to cut people off from the internet will result in lots and lots of people being unable to freely access information. To clarify, this is a BAD THING.
Whilst there are now plans for “a proper route of appeal”, it remains to be seen if the system will amount to anything more than wild accusations from a failing media industry in the hope to recoup some of their losses caused by producing appalling content, and me standing up in court saying “I didn’t do it”.
